Day 128: Used A Compostable To Go Cup
A friend bought me a hot tea that was served in an eco-friendly compostable cup by Ecotainer.
The cup is made from corn and compostable. Yes, the corn is likely GMO corn. It might not be the perfect solution, but it’s not about being perfect. It’s about making the best decision in the situation that you are in.
For cold drinks, I usually carry around my mason jar to get juices on the go or to fill up it up a restaurant.
In my opinion the compostable cup is better than a traditional to go cup.
According to WiseBread, “About eighteen percent of garbage we produce is composed of disposable containers, of which hot beverage cups represent a large portion.”
This cup will be dropped off at my community compost center.
