Day 326: Bought Drought-Tolerant Native Plant

Day326-Bought-Drought-Tolerant-Native-Plant
Bought an aloe plant for my balcony garden.

Most native drought tolerant plants need minimal amounts of water to survive. So you are saving on water.

Google which plants are native to your area that you can buy.

Hey, why haven't you added your urban garden stuff here?

I checked out how U made those self watering containers, but I did not get why do they need a pipe if you watered those at grand-ma's garden clearly by spraying them, I understand tomato leafs should not be sprayed & that it would not be appropriate to spray anything in the apartment building.

Also, is there a special reason or not why those squared containers had only 2 strainers built in and not 4 of them?

What type of color [that holds] did you use to paint those water bottles?
I know spray paint for plastic would do, though it's not eco-friendly's since destroys the ozone layer...

Native PERENNIALS! [permaculture]: less work, more reward, healthier ecosystem => healthier life. Deep root system [3 times the annual plant] => Soil erosion is maximally lowered, use of water is maximally lowered <=> best choice! Bravo.

Succulents are my absolute FAVORITE plants! Not only do they help conserve water, they are gorgeous. Jade plants, almost any type of cactus, aloe are my favorites! Thanks for such a great suggestion...
  • Thanks. Now I need to remember to use the damned thing.
