Day 328: Picked and Replanted Wild Edible Weed

Day 328: Picked and Replanted Wild Edible Weed
I picked wild growing fennel and replanted it in my garden.

Fennel is one of the most invasive weeds in California, so it’s growing nearly everywhere. It’s also edible. Most people aren’t aware, so it often goes uneaten.

This helps to cut down on the costs and production that goes into the packaging and shipping of the food.

  • Alchemist
I generally put chopped fennel leaves in the potatoes, they have a nice smell and taste !
  • Becky Striepe
Oh yum! I didn't know fennel was considered a weed.
  • And an invasive one at that.
