Day 39: Turned Off Faucet While Brushing Teeth

Day 39: Turned Off Faucet While Brushing Teeth

When brushing my teeth this morning I turned off the faucet.

According to the American Water Works Association, Daily indoor per capita water use in the typical single family home is 69.3 gallons with 15.7% of that going to faucets.

By simply turning off the running water when brushing your teeth, a difference is made.

What was your simple green act for the day?

  • Seattle Invisalign
Brushing teeth should be done twice a day, and most people find it easiest to brush in the morning after waking up, and immediately before bed at night.
  • Thanks for the tip.
  • Good for you for taking the steps to save water. I like to do the same. When I can, I love doing simple things to help save things like water, gas, etc. It’s a great way to live and makes me feel better about myself.
  • Word. It's the little thing that can add up.
