Day 250: Mailed Kombucha Starter To Friends

Day 250: Mailed Kombucha Starter To Others

When making kombucha, the mushroom splits into two.

Since I had some extra mushrooms, I reused a box that was stuffed with a t-shirt and mailed it out to friends to make their own.

By paying it forward I am giving others the ability to make their own as well. This exponentially cuts back on the resources going into producing and transporting the product even more.

Here are two of the main advantages of making your own kombucha – you know what went into making it (eliminating the use of harmful chemicals) and the transportation and packaging resources are eliminated. Hopefully they will reusing the same mason jars over and over again too.

If anyone else wants some, hit me up.

What was your simple green act for the day?
