Day 91: Demonstrated How To Make a Self-Watering Container

As part of my Urban Kinder-Garden Workshop, I showed the parents how to build a self-watering container.

These are made using mostly recycled materials including 5-gallon containers that are saved from the landfill.

Did you know that recycling one ton of plastic saves 7.4 cubic yards of landfill space? Get that and more Recycling Facts at Earth911.

What was your simple green act for the day?

We must invest in children so that they take better care of our planet, because it is easier "to be born" green than to become green after adult / old. So, Mike continue to teach his nephew (the one in the photo you posted the other day) and all children you can. Good work!
  • Thanks. Doin my best to lead by example.
