Day 100: Made A Mobile Using CDs

Day 100: Made A Mobile Using CDs

I used CDs to make a mobile. You know a CD…the music of the future.

According to About.com, “Analysts estimate that American consumers buy about a billion compact discs (CDs) every year, most which eventually end up in landfills or incinerators. Since CDs are a mix of polycarbonate, plastic and aluminum, they don’t easily break down and are not easily recycled. They are also not biodegradable, so they won’t break down in landfills. And when incinerated they release toxic fumes into the air.”

What was your simple green act for the day?

Is yours the one with the stars and glitter? I am going to make that one too :-)

Yeah! We made it here! It's really easy to do, and very pretty too! We published an eco-Christmas Garland today, with used coffee filters. Take a look: http://www.ecodesenvolvimento.org.br/voceecod/f...

Great Idea...AOL could have supplied you with a gigantic CD-Mobile a few years back in the 90's
  • Mike Lieberman
Hhaha. That'd be a great project to reclaim them and make one giant one.
